Corporate Law - IRS 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit Organizations

Bob has set up several Non-Profit Corporations and qualified them under the IRS guidelines as Section 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organizations so that donations to these corporations are "tax deductible" by the Donor.

Such significant corporations that are still in existence are: "Save Galveston-West Bay, Inc.," which was successful in accepting tax-free donations to fight the permit to dredge Chocolate Bayou and to create a turning basin in Alvin, Texas; to stop the Texas City Copper Smelter Project; and the proposed "Superport" for Galveston Island in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Also existing today is "The Cabeza da Vaca Center, Inc.", which was set up to become the recipient of wetlands donations on West Galveston Island to be held in perpetuity as natural preserves. See The Robert M. "Bob" Moore Wildlife Sanctuary.

Also, "The Banet Brothers Charitable Foundation, Inc." which was set up in honor of Father Charles Banet and his brother, Father Paul Banet, who were Pastors at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Galveston, Texas, to receive funds for scholarships for deserving recipients within the Galveston community.

Mr. Moore has also qualified two (2) existing non-profit medical fraternity organizations for medical students at UTMB in order that they might take advantage of significant reductions of property taxes on their land, structures and personal property.
